Project Description:

The scope of work included the supply, installation, and commissioning of a new permanent conveyor system, together with the supporting electrical and instrumentation infrastructure, at the Port of Bundaberg, with BME Australia engaged as the subcontractor for the project.

The new permanent conveyor system was designed to increase the capacity of the previously underutilised Port, improve its loading facilities, and support the attraction of new businesses to the Bundaberg region. The project was supported by funding from the Australian Government under the Hinkler Regional Deal, together with additional funding provided by Sugar Terminals Limited and Gladstone Ports Corporation on behalf of the Queensland Government.

Upon completion and commissioning, the CUI Project increased the export capability of a broad range of regional commodities, including minerals, timber, and agricultural products.
